Guys in this modern world there are things in life never works the way you want it to be, you never know when life takes a ‘U’ turn where branches of technology have been growing like a giant in this era of jungle. Today if we compare technology what was used 10 years ago could really mean a nightmare up to a certain extent to some manual processes taken over by the sultans of machines called ‘Computers’

Couple of week’s back I read this article on “New State level grading systems for high schools”. First the board decided to do away with the conventional examination system and now they want to award grades to the students on the basis of attitude towards fellow students, teachers and environment. It is highly likely that the students in higher classes might restrict their real attitude, just to get higher grades. Will this bring justice to a student who is really working hard and other one who’s just pretending it to be? The worst victim of this is going to be student. I remember very well there was a dignity involved getting 1st rank in my class especially when my teacher calls off that name that stood 1st in class, but now we doubt the competency of even those students who get 80+ percent and marks.

Getting inspired from a country whose size is not even 5% of our country, is not going to happen as expected, it might lead us into a dark future with no goals low level quality and misleading life path. Practically in country where this kind of education level is implemented government have been backing education system by investing to increase job opportunities, providing skills training as per individual calibre and most importantly its FREE. Can we afford this FREE education system in INDIA?

I am sure the answer is going to be a big ‘NO’ because government is not ready yet to invest anything for unemployment and a very big ‘NO’ to provide it for free. Implementing a half system with no backing would really mean risking prospect of those students who would actually be part of this system from next year.

p.s. The fact is that we Indians are in love with the concept of approval and recognition. Our policymakers are too busy grading the performance of others, what we need is a scale which can grade the overall performance and personality of our corrupt politicians, top government officers, businessmen who are siphoning off the resources of our country.

  1. first of al..CONGRATULATIONS on ur frst post...welcom 2 the world of blogging...

In a country with a billion plus population, the education system is outdated and flawed with minimum or no efforts to update it.

I think theory backed with practical experience can work in our country. Knowledge is more important then grades on any given day. otherwise who remembers a word wat we studied in our school and college days.

I am sure Mr Kapil Sibal is doing his bit and trying to bring reforms in this domain. But lot needs 2 b dun in this area but a gud beginning is half dun.

p.s. I disagree with your point of view on rank beter then grades.I have my own reasons.
atleast it gives the student to concentrate on may other aspects of life like acquiring knowledge, learning fine arts and making his life more complete rather then just mugging up so called curriculum and always be under tremendous pressure to get a good rank, which looks only good on paper and has no value in the REAL world.
